Rock the River – The Alternative Way to Bring in the New Year

What's Happening?
Ditch the vanilla party at a friend of a friend of a friend or the same old same old at a nightclub and bring in the New Year in raw style. Get down and dirty at Rock the River, which promises sun, sand, swimming and, above all, music.
If you’ve been to any of the previous two Rock the River festivals you’ll have some idea of what to expect; only this year the non-stop party at the Westcoast (Cape Town) Ostrich Ranch promises to be even bigger and better.
There are three stages: the main stage, metal stage (which includes Goth, hard rock and punk), and the electro/dubstep,D&B stage.
The metal stage will feature acts such as Crow Black Sky, Strident, Sindulgence, Fear vs. Twelve, Wildernessking and All Guns Full Ammo.
A tattoo artist will be on site so you can get inked in between sets. You can also cool off in river, schmooze in the bars and indulge in the variety offered by the food stalls.
You’ve already missed out on early bird tickets but there are still plenty of places available. You get tickets at Computicket, Rock the River website, Shoprite and Checkers stores and participating bands.
A three-day pass costs R300 (presale) and R350 at the gate.
A one-day pass costs R150 - only at the gate.
The Westcoast Ostrich Ranch is only a 20 minute drive from Cape Town and is on Van Schoorsdrift Road, just of the N7.
