Nils discovers Times of Grace.

Not many people will know of this band...yet, but for those of you who love Killswitch Engage you’ll definitely recognise the 2 core members and founders of this band for they are none other than Adam Dutkiewicz (guitars/vocals) and former Killswitch frontman Jesse Leach.

The 2 of them haven’t worked together creatively since Jesse left Killswitch Engage amongst a torrent of rumours as to why he left. So many articles have been posted stating problems with his throat after each performance to him just always being miserable to creative differences.

So it was news to me when a friend of mine suggested I "like" a page on Facebook by a band called Times of Grace.

Now to me that name was strange as I’d never heard of the band or even heard the name mentioned but to my surprise when I clicked on the link it showed the information that Jesse Leach and Adam D were working together on a music project for the first time since Jesse left.

Now everyone knows what Adam has been doing since Jesse left, which was destroy stages as the guitarist and backing vocalist for the Metal/Hardcore noisemakers Killswitch Engage and producing albums for bands like Unearth, As I Lay Dying, The Acacia Strain and All That Remains while Jesse has been quietly plugging away doing his own thing in bands like the more Prog/Jazz/Metal orientated band The Empire Shall Fall and the better known band Seemless.

Adam D has been the musical driving force and has been handling all the instrument work, backing vocals and production when it comes to the album which has been dubbed "The Hymn of a Broken Man".

The album was originally set for a release date of the 9th of November 2010 but has been moved to the 18th of January 2011 here in the UK, with the track "Strength in Numbers" released for free from the 15th of October 2010 to the 17th of October 2010.

Having heard the track, I can only tell you all that this is going to be something special, so if I were you and if you’re a fan of Killswitch Engage etc I’d definitely keep my ears open for Times of Grace.
